A XNUMX-year-old from Sotira is being treated at the General Hospital of Famagusta after an injury resulting from a road collision.

According to a police announcement, around 10:30 on Monday night, a 28-year-old Egyptian was driving his car on Agia Varvaras Street, heading from Ayia Napa to Sotira, when at some point on the road he entered the opposite lane and collided with a motorcycle driven by a 19-year-old from Sotira.

The 19-year-old, who was wearing a safety helmet, was injured in the collision and was transported by ambulance to the Accident and Emergency Department of the Famagusta General Hospital.

The young man was examined by the doctor on duty and it was found that he suffered a fracture in the wrist and femur and was kept for treatment. According to the treating doctors, his health condition is described as out of danger.

The two drivers underwent an alcohol test by the Police with a negative indication.

The case is being investigated by the Deryneia Police Station.
