Drowning due to drowning is due to the death of a domestic helper who was found dead in a swimming pool

The death of a 22-year-old domestic worker from Nepal, who was found floating dead on Sunday night in the pool of her employers' holiday home in Protaras, is due to suffocation as a result of drowning.

As the medical examiner Eleni Antoniou, who performed today the legalized autopsy on the body of the 22-year-old at the Larnaca General Hospital, stated to KYPE, "the death of the girl is due to suffocation as a result of drowning".

It is recalled that the 22-year-old domestic helper had gone with her employers who live in Nicosia, to Protaras where they maintain a holiday home.

The young woman's employers left to go to sea while the girl stayed at home. Last night the employer of the young woman returned home and when they did not find her, they went out in search of her.

Around 20.15, the couple located the 22-year-old floating in the pool of the house and the Police were immediately notified, members of which went to the scene and started investigations.

Police ruled out the possibility of criminal activity, while an ambulance transported the girl to the General Hospital of Famagusta, where the doctors on duty confirmed her death.
