Auditor General Chrystalla Giorkatzi blames civil servants of the Ministry of Labor for the overpayments in pensions, public benefits and benefits of the Social Insurance Fund, which until today amounted to € 30 million.

As Phileleftheros writes, there is a very serious possibility of losing a significant amount of overpayments paid due to the passage of significant time from their finding, but also the untimely taking of drastic and legal measures. According to the publication, an amount of around € 3 million was lost by people who were overpaid but until they discovered them, they emigrated to the Lord.

The hole control system allows even fraudsters to exploit it, securing bonuses with false representations. According to the Auditor's investigations, overpayments were observed in the Social Insurance Service (€ 618.929), in the Social Insurance Fund € 7,3 million and in the Central License Fund € 333.178.

At the same time, the Auditor General identifies ambiguities in the criteria of the Ministry of Labor for sponsorships for the disabled. They get sponsorships and organizations with large reserves. The Auditor points out that for the amount of the sponsorships, the amounts that had been granted the previous one should also be taken into account.
