According to the Police, after investigations carried out yesterday by men of the Force and the criminological service in the store, suspicions arose against the 38-year-old employee, who lives in Paralimni and after being arrested with a court warrant he was detained.

The arrest of the 38-year-old was followed by a search of his home where the amount of 14,000 euros was found and received as evidence. Georgianos did not give satisfactory explanations to the Police for the acquisition of the amount of money.

It is recalled that the 38-year-old had complained to the Police yesterday around 9 in the morning that while he was in the store where he works and is on the road Paralimni - Deryneia and was preparing to open, two people with hooded faces entered it.

According to the complaint of the 38-year-old, one of the two people was holding a bag from where he pulled out a short-barreled shotgun and with threats, beatings and pushes, after tying the employee, led him to a staircase leading to the basement of the store. The two hooded men then snatched a large sum of money from a small safe in the store.

According to the owner of the store, the safe contained 130 - 140 thousand euros, around 12 - 13 thousand US dollars and rubles corresponding to about six thousand euros. However, according to the owner, the amounts kept in the safe are not covered by any security.
