Two more couples from Great Britain received today, Monday, June 27, the honorary distinction of "Ambassador of Tourism of Ayia Napa" as well as a commemorative plaque, on the occasion of their multiple visits to Ayia Napa.
The title of Ambassador and the commemorative plaque were awarded to the couples William and Renee Hicks (completed 40 visits), Howard and Carol Bramley (for his 21st visit), on behalf of the Mayor Mr. Giannis Karousou, the Municipal Councilor Mr. Vassos Vassilios.
Honoring the British tourists, Mr. Vassilios referred to the institution of "Ambassador of Tourism of Ayia Napa", which, as he said, was established by the Municipality for the last four years and explained to them the reasons why the Local Authority of Ayia Napa decided to honor them.
He also expressed the warm thanks of both the Mayor, the Members of the Municipal Council and himself personally for their special preference and obvious love for Ayia Napa and rightly added that they have the title of Ambassador of Tourism of our city as they represent with the best and most convincingly Ayia Napa abroad.
