Within twelve months another 4.000 new graduates were stacked on the roster. The number of unassigned teachers is close to 40.000 and according to EVS statistics, seven out of ten belong to the lists of Secondary General Education…

The data on the numbers of unidentified persons, provided by "Φ", come from the revised lists of appointees posted by the Education Service Committee (EVS) on 28 February.

A new record of unappointed teachers is recorded in Primary Education. Based on statistical data, today the tables of Primary Education include 6.049 people. However, according to EVS calculations, the average number of permanent teacher appointments for the period 2005-2011 was only 138,7 per year.

The number of candidates from Greece is also of particular interest. According to new EVS data, Greek teacher-seeking teachers in public schools rose to 8.792 this year from 7.128 in February 2011. It is striking that almost one in two philologists enrolled in the tables no longer is a Cypriot. There are, however, several other specialties in which the presence of Greeks is particularly noticeable.
