Couples from Wales and Scotland were named "Ayia Napa Tourism Ambassadors" after visiting the area 60 and 70 times.

A written statement from the City of Ayia Napa stated that "William and Irene Wilson from Scotland and Derek and Christine Williams from Wales were honored and paid 60 and 70 visits respectively.
