As a police officer told KYPE, the incident took place shortly before 14:00 yesterday in Asomatos, Limassol District, while a father and son started arguing over some property disputes.
At some point and under conditions under investigation, the 72-year-old pulled out a knife and injured his son, who was taken to Limassol Hospital, where he is being treated out of danger.
The father was arrested by the BB police, who own the area and are expected to be taken to court for a detention order.
The victim was examined by the medical examiner Eleni Antoniou, who found that he had deep bruises on the left side of the abdomen, a deep wound on the right shoulder and a defensive wound on the left hand.
