Ninety-three migrants arrived by boat last night in the area of ​​Kato Pyrgos and were located around midnight, as the competent authorities of the Republic of Cyprus were immediately mobilized after information that a boat, carrying migrants, was 8 nautical miles off and was heading towards the Tower of Tillyria.

As a representative of the Press Office of the Police Headquarters stated to KYPE, the migrants were left around midnight in the area "Makria Limni", territory of the village of Kato Pyrgos.

Members of the Kato Pyrgos Police Station and the Limniti roadblock went to the area and after an investigation, 93 immigrants were identified, who entered the territory of the Republic of Cyprus illegally.

The immigrants, 34 men, 17 women and 42 children, were first transported to the rural Health Center of Kato Pyrgos where they were examined by the medical staff and then transported by buses to the Polis Chrysochous Police Station. They are then expected to be transferred to the Hospitality Center in Kokkinotrimithia.

The boat was transported to the fishing shelter of Kato Pyrgos.
