Greece and Cyprus, together with the Israeli Air Force, have been secretly conducting a large interdisciplinary exercise for the last three days throughout the land area of free Cyprus, as well as in the sea and air space south and southwest.
Information indicates that all available means of the National Guard and forces of the Greek army, air force and navy are participating in the exercise. Israeli fighter jets also assisted in the exercise yesterday.
The exercise was kept secret to avoid further tension, however there were leaks, with the Ministry of Defense making no comment at all.
In the Sotiras forest, in the Arkatzii area and in the Agios Antonios forest, parachutists fell on Wednesday afternoon, causing fear but also the question of the passers-by, who observed the unprecedented spectacle.
