In a climate of emotion, a divine service was held yesterday for the second consecutive year for the great feast of the Epiphany in the city of occupied Famagusta.
The Holy Diocese of Constantia and Famagusta, the Municipality of Famagusta and the Initiative Group "Famagusta our City", for the second consecutive year organized the celebrations of the Epiphany in the city of Famagusta.
The Divine Liturgy and the Great Sanctification of the Epiphanies was performed in the Holy Temple of Agios Georgios of Exorinos in the walled city of Famagusta. Then at 11:30 in the morning in the sea of Glossa, the diving ceremony of the Holy Cross and the sanctification of the waters took place.
The Divine Liturgy was attended by Archimandrite Augustinos Karas, the Mayor of Famagusta Alexis Galanos and many deputies, and Famagusta residents who attended with emotion as visitors to their city occupied for 43 years.
