According to what NET broadcast, during searches carried out in two houses of relatives of Mr. Tsochatzopoulos, in Paleo Psychiko and Kolonaki, ten gold plates, gold pounds, documents and a computer were found and confiscated.

The former minister is accused of receiving through offshore companies from the German company Ferrostaal a bribe of eight million euros, with which he bought real estate on Kifissias Avenue and Komna Traka Street, as well as his residence in Dionysiou Areopagitou, for which a court investigation was carried out.

The money, according to the indictment, was transferred through Morgan Stanley Bank in Switzerland.

After the arrest of Akis Tsochatzopoulos, other arrests of his associates or third parties are expected to follow, which are involved in the purchase of the property on Dionysios Areopagitos. Relevant arrest warrants have been issued against them.

On the issue of the assets of the former minister, a preliminary examination was carried out by the prosecutors of the first instance, Evg. Kyvelos and El. Siskou, which started in 2010, on the occasion of publications on the case of the purchase of the property on Dionysios Areopagitos and on the legality of all of his assets with investigated offenses money laundering, offense ongoing, but also tax offenses.

As part of the investigation, the former minister was summoned before the prosecutors as a suspect in October 2011. At the end of the preliminary investigation, the file was forwarded to the special investigator who, in consultation with the prosecutor's office, issued a warrant against the former minister.
