Specifically, at 02:30 in the early hours of Saturday, the Fire Department received a call for a fire in a Japanese restaurant on Agia Mavris Street in Ayia Napa.
The fire broke out in a room on the 1st floor of the building that houses the restaurant, which was used as a laundry room.
The fire destroyed equipment in the room, while according to the first indications it is believed that the fire may have been caused by a short circuit.
