Coordinated campaigns, to combat traffic offenses, were carried out by the team of motorcyclists of the Police Headquarters, throughout the four days of the XNUMXth of August, in the coastal cities. He made dozens of complaints, mainly for driving under the influence of alcohol.

In order to combat traffic violations, members of the motorcycle team of the police headquarters have been campaigning in Paphos, Larnaca and free Famagusta since August 14.

Members of the headquarters motorcyclists' team carried out hundreds of checks on drivers with most of the complaints they shared concerning, according to police spokesman Andreas Angelidis, driving under the influence of alcohol:

"More than 250 inspections were carried out in various parts of the cities and 85 complaints were made about vehicles, specifically for drivers who were driving under the influence of alcohol. Another number of complaints were also made. In terms of these audits, our own assessments as well as information from the citizens were taken into account. In some cases the driver who was under the influence of alcohol was driving another person. And this is in favor of the citizens. "

According to Mr. Angelidis, similar campaigns are planned for the coming weeks, with the cooperation of the police directorates.
