The case of the quadruple murder of Ayia Napa, which has been on trial since last January at the Larnaca-Famagusta Criminal Court, enters the final stretch today, a year after the perpetration of the heinous crime that shocked the whole of Cyprus.

The court ruled in favor throughout the current week, in order to complete the testimony of the defense witnesses that the side of the accused Panagiotis Pentavkas plans to summon (it is estimated that there will be four witnesses), as well as the apology of the other defendant Loi Dejan.

It is still unknown whether Dejan's side will call defense witnesses. Both remaining defendants were called to apologize and Pentavkas has already apologized in court with an irresistible statement.

The next trial is considered crucial in the defendants' attempt to convince the judges of the Criminal Court of their innocence, since the prosecution has completed its case with the deposition of a total of 51 prosecution witnesses.

Panagiotis Pentavkas, owner of the night club "Toka Toka" in Ag. Napa and Serb Loi Dejan, who was the bodyguard of the murdered Fanos Kalopsidiotis, plead guilty to the most serious charges they face, including the four counts of premeditated murder for each individual victim killed on the night of July 23, 2016.

"They got rid of it"

Those who finally "got rid" of the case of the quadruple murder of Ayia Napa are Marios Christodoulou, otherwise known as "Benis", and Charalambos (Pampos) Andreou, both from Nicosia. Both, who had played a key role in the execution of Kalopsidiotis' assassination plot, have pleaded guilty to all charges and are already serving life sentences.
