Gulsum Ginal, 52, was bitten for the ninth time by a snake and specifically by the Mediterranean viper, according to a publication of today's "Cyprus".

Gulsum, a resident of occupied Gialousa, was reportedly bitten on the finger of her right hand by a snake while trying to clear the garden of her home.

The victim was taken to a medical center in the area and after receiving first aid she was taken to the "state hospital" in occupied Famagusta to be given an antidote and placed under medical supervision while her health is not a cause for concern, according to the publication.

In addition, various animal welfare organizations in the occupied territories have appealed that snakes not be killed.
