A 67-year-old tourist fell victim to an attempted theft from a person in Ayia Napa on Sunday.
According to the complainant, around 9 pm, while walking with her husband, on a road in Ayia Napa, a moped passed by them, on which two unknown persons were riding.
The two strangers pulled the bag, which the complainant was holding, without being able to pull it out and fled.
From the pulling of the bag, the complainant fell to the ground resulting in injury. He was taken to a private clinic in Ayia Napa, where he was found to have suffered a broken right key and bruises on his neck and skin on his forehead. After receiving first aid, he was fired.
