The Municipality of Sotiras officially sealed its cooperation with THOK. Shortly before the start of the performance "The Opera of Pentara" which was held on Wednesday, November 20 at the Municipal Theater Sotira, was presented the sign which was placed at the entrance of the Municipal Theater Sotira and which bears the logos of the Municipality of Sotira and THOK. The sign was unveiled by the Mayor Sotiras, Mr. Georgios Takkas with the member of the Board. of THOK, Mr. Loukas Prastitis.
"With this symbolic gesture", said Mayor Sotiras, the Municipality of Sotiras expresses its special joy but also its pride for the close cooperation of the Municipality of Sotiras with the Theatrical Organization of Cyprus, and this relationship will offer the necessary high level of culture, no only to the Citizens of Sotira but also to the inhabitants of the province of Famagusta ”.
In his statements, Mr. Loukas Prastitis stated, among other things, that "THOK found a worthy collaborator in the Municipality of Sotiras and that where there is a theater, there is also a culture".
The Sotiras Municipal Theater has been transformed into the Main Stage of THOK in the province of Famagusta, since this year, when the collaboration began, important theatrical performances have been staged, such as: "Harley's Jacket or well again", "Trelantonis", "Noah Family", "Incognito on stage", "Opera of Pentara" and "Romeo and Juliet for two" in the framework of the International Festival CYPRUS 2013.
Throughout November and December, THOK will host almost all schools in the province of Famagusta, while on February 6 the theatrical performance "The Stone" will be presented and on February 18 the play "We have a life".
