As everything shows so far, 2017 will be a very good year for tourism in the Province of Famagusta.
Following a communication by Sotiranews with the director of the Tourism Development and Promotion Company of Famagusta province, Mr. Lakis Avraamidis, this season is expected to be a very strong year.
The prevailing climate is very positive, there is demand and interest for the province and as Mr. Avraamidis himself states "we expect that we can overcome last year according to the current indications".
The estimates as observed until today, for the tourist season 2017 as well as the bookings that have already started, seem to have the potential to exceed last year's tourism rates of the province. Most of the hotels have been renovated to accommodate larger numbers of tourists, and to further upgrade the area.
According to Mr. Avraamidis, most of the tourists in the province of Am / st will come from England and Russia, while the response from Switzerland and the Scandinavian countries is also positive.
Of course, the promotion activities of the province are being intensively continued by the competent bodies in order to achieve the best possible result for this season.
