The New Agricultural Movement reports that "farmers in the free area of ​​Famagusta have fought hard to save their plantations and fight the phenomenon of frost, watering their potato plantations all night and trying to strengthen their facilities to protect them from strong winds and strong weather phenomena ".

Nevertheless, he continues, "very great damage has not been avoided."

In the letter, the Movement states that "we recognize the immediate reaction of the Officers of your Ministry and the OGA, who hurried to make a first assessment of the situation" and expresses confidence "that they will continue and complete the recording of the losses".

The New Agricultural Movement states that "what is important for our affected farmers is the immediate payment of compensation so that they can continue their activity".

"That is why we call on you, Mr. Minister, to ask your services to complete the damage assessment procedures as soon as possible and to make every effort to find the necessary funding so that they can receive the compensation in a short period of time," the letter concludes. .
