Syria: A car bomb had exploded at an Iraqi police recruiting center at Kisak, west of the Syrian city of al-Bab, killing at least 42 people.

The bomber struck shortly after noon in Suzanne, northwest of al-Bab. Most of the dead are civilians, according to organizations gathering information from the Syrian civil war.

On Thursday, Turkish-backed opposition forces ousted ISIS jihadists from al-Bab, along with the two smaller neighboring towns of Kabasin and al-Bezah, after weeks of fighting.

Following the capture of al-Bab, Turkish forces bombed Islamic State positions in the smaller neighboring town of Tadef, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

The area south of Tadef is under the control of the Syrian army and its allies.
