The average rainfall in the free areas of Cyprus rose from the beginning of the month until the morning of December 30 to 145,3 mm (mm) and is at 138% of the normal price for the month.
 
According to the preliminary data of the Department of Meteorology, the average amount of rain that fell in the last 24 hours reached 15,1mm, with the highest rainfall being recorded in Pano Panagia (34mm), Platania (29,2mm) and Stavros of Psoka ( 26,5mm).
 
In Nicosia, from the beginning of December until today, the total quantity reached 112mm, a quantity that corresponds to 193% of the normal price for the month. For the same period, 148,8mm rainfall was recorded in Limassol or 146% of normal, while in Larnaca it reached 85,1mm or 99% of the normal price.
 
The rainfall recorded in Paphos remains below the usual, as with 82,9mm they reached 85% of the normal price in December. In the Province of Famagusta and specifically in Frenaros, the rainfall in December amounted to 84,7mm or 101% of the normal price.
 
According to the statistics of the Department of Meteorology, the average rainfall since December 1 rose to Polis Chrysochous at 171%, in Prodromos to 110%, in Saittas to 155%, in Kellaki to 133%, in Kornos to 127%, in Lythrodontas at 117%, at Athienou at 153% and at Xylotympou at 83% of the normal for the month of December.
