With the aim of further cooperation with the Local Authorities, a meeting of delegations of the Municipality of Deryneia and the Anti-Drug Council of Cyprus was held recently.
According to a written announcement of the Municipality of Deryneia, the President of the Anti-Drug Council Dr. Chrysanthos Georgiou stated that the aim of the meeting was to further cooperate with the Local Authorities for the implementation of the actions of the national strategy, especially in terms of preventing the use of addictive substances, supporting the most vulnerable social groups and creating social cohesion and solidarity. ».
The Mayor of Deryneia, Andros Karagiannis, stated that "the Municipality plans the organization of cultural events and sports meetings for young people who are expected to contribute to the prevention and reduction of the problem of addictive substances, with the contribution of the Cyprus Anti-Drug Council".
