Mr. Neophytou requested in a letter dated 17/10/2014 to the Department of Antiquities the concession of antiquities for five years with the right of renewal for another five. In his letter, he claimed that the approval of his request will contribute positively to the promotion of our archaeological treasures, since in his office there are daily meetings with citizens, organized groups, party officials from abroad and European Union officials. In addition, he claimed that, due to his position as chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs and European Affairs, his office is frequently visited by ambassadors of foreign governments, delegations of foreign parliaments, Greek officials and organizations.

Mr. Neophytos' request for the assignment of antiquities for five plus five years was approved on the condition that the insurance costs of the antiquities, amounting to € 3.150, will be borne by him.

Specifically, the Department of Antiquities granted Averof Neophytou the following antiquities:

1. Vase with a cylindrical body, height 67 cm, of the Cypriot-Classical II Period.
