The Holy Archdiocese of Cyprus and the radio station "O LOGOS" are organizing a road fundraiser from March 2 to 4, with the general title "Challenge of love" to support the needy in Greece… 

Today, leaders or representatives of political parties visited one of the kiosks in Nicosia and presented their party's contribution to the fundraiser.

In his statements, the Protosyggelos of the Holy Archdiocese, His Eminence Ieronymos Pyliotis, thanked the people participating in the fundraising effort of the Holy Archdiocese and said that the fundraising will be used to buy food and meat mainly for the Greek dioceses. easter table.

The fundraiser, he said, started today and will be completed tomorrow afternoon with kiosks set up in Nicosia at the beginning of Makarios Avenue, on Ledra Street and the Municipalities of Agios Dometios, Strovolos, Latsia, Aradippou and the Municipality of Paphos. A kiosk has also been set up in Platy Aglantzias.

On behalf of DISY, the contribution was delivered by the Vice President Averof Neophytou, who said that such efforts send multiple messages from the whole of Cypriot Hellenism, such as messages of support to our Greek brothers.

He added that "but they are symbolic actions", saying that Greece will not be saved by the symbolic actions and the flood of love of the Cypriot Hellenism, which is a given. "Greece will stand on its own two feet and the Cypriot economy will be shielded when politicians, both in Greece and globally and in Cyprus, make the right decisions."

"We will support all initiatives and those aimed at raising material aid but also political initiatives because we want to send a message to those who decide on the future of the EU, that policies should be followed to help address the economic crisis. Mr. Kyprianou noted that there is a need to give impetus to development and to pursue policies that will support those citizens who need the support of states.

On behalf of EDEK, the contribution was submitted by the Vice President and MEP Koullis Mavronikolas, who said that EDEK contributes to this effort for the financial support of the Greek people.

"I have the impression that the Cypriot people as a whole understand that it is a primary task for us to support Greece, which is going through the most difficult times in this huge economic crisis," he said.

He added that the existence of Cypriot Hellenism is directly related to a strong and independent Greek economy. "In this way we all contribute to this effort, being aware that Hellenism is our first and only ally in our national struggle," he concluded.

The President of EUROCO Dimitris Syllouris presented the contribution of his party and congratulated the Church and the LOGO for the effort to strengthen the Greeks.

"We are sending the message to the Cypriot people and especially to those who support the ideas of EUROCO that without Greece there can be no Cypriot Hellenism," he said.

He added that in this event and in all other efforts "we must contribute both symbolically and substantially".
