A large quantity of live and dead wild birds, woodpeckers, wild bird catch nets and sound production machines, were located and confiscated by the Police, in a field in Frenaros.
According to the Police, yesterday around 05:45 in the morning, members of the MMAD poaching squad located in a fenced field in Frenaros, which belongs to a 57-year-old from Deryneia, 225 dead wild birds, a live hare, 5 live wild birds, 80 woodpeckers, a wild bird catch net and two sound production machines.
All the findings were confiscated and received as evidence while the 57-year-old was arrested and transferred to the Deryneia Police Station and after being charged in writing he was released.
