Egyptian dies of acute myocardial infarction due to death in Ayia Napa

An acute myocardial infarction is the cause of death of a 40-year-old man from Egypt who was found dead on the boat where he worked in Ayia Napa.

The medical examiner Eleni Antoniou performed today at the morgue of the Larnaca General Hospital the legal autopsy on the body of the 40-year-old and stated that his death came from "acute myocardial infarction".

It is recalled that the Egyptian, while sleeping on the night of Monday, October 3, on a boat where he works, at a hotel dock in Ayia Napa, at some point snored loudly. The other members of the boat's crew tried to wake the 40-year-old, but to no avail.

The Police were immediately notified and the deceased was transported by boat to the dock where members of the Paralimni Police Station were waiting for him. An ambulance from Paralimni General Hospital transported him to the Accident and Emergency Department of the hospital, where the doctors on duty found that the Egyptian was dead.

The body of the deceased was inspected without any external injuries, while the Police ruled out the possibility of criminal action.
