The leader of the Turkish Cypriot Party, Mustafa Akitzi, was informed yesterday about the works carried out with the aim of opening the roadblock in Deryneia during his visit to the occupied side of Deryneia.
Mr. Akinci is expected today to visit the area in Apliki and to be informed about the progress of the works that are being done for the opening of the roadblock there.
According to Turkish websites, Mr. Aktinzi, accompanied by "military", looked at the free areas.
The issue is reported on its front page today by the Turkish newspaper "Africa", which under the headline "Agnandee" writes that almost two years have passed since the "election" of Mustafa Akinci, but in these two years neither the Deryneia roadblock has not been opened either.
