The National Guard and the Port Police have been alerted, as information arrives that the occupying forces are preparing to reposition the illegal buoy in the sea area of occupied Famagusta, which was washed ashore due to sea turbulence. Meanwhile, the Turkish research vessel Barbaros continued its activity in the Gulf of Morphou.

The National Guard and the Port Police are on alert, studying the information they have before them, that the occupying forces are close to a decision to reposition a buoy, which until recently was sailing illegally in the sea area between occupied Famagusta and Protaras.

According to exclusive information, the competent authorities have closely monitored the movements of Turkish ships and other vessels in the area, as such an action would constitute a violation of the territorial waters of the Republic of Cyprus.

It is worth noting that in this sea area, the occupying forces had illegally installed a total of four buoys, one of which at the beginning of last December, was swept away by the waves due to sea turbulence and washed away in the bay of MAAD in Protaras.

Men of the Port Police collected and confiscated the buoy. It is recalled that a similar incident occurred about a year ago in the same area, with the detachment of two buoys which were repositioned by the occupying forces immediately after the improvement of weather conditions.

As a military expert explained, the buoys are anchored to the bottom with a chain, are red in color and have a diameter of one and a half meters.

Meanwhile, the Turkish research vessel Barbaros continued yesterday the illegal seismic surveys carried out within the Exclusive Economic Zone of the Republic of Cyprus.

According to data published by a specialized website on the Internet for the positions and movements of ships, the Turkish research vessel is located yesterday north of the Gulf of occupied Morphou and at a distance of about thirty nautical miles from the coast.

As shown in the relevant blueprint of the video, the research vessel, after deleting a circular course in the area, is now heading east.

It is recalled that Turkey has illegally blocked areas within the Exclusive Economic Zone until January XNUMX, and Barbaro's illegal trip will continue for at least another three weeks.
