A 29-year-old man fell into the hands of the Police, who threw stolen objects at him in front of the police and put him on his feet.

Specifically, around 00:40 on Sunday, members of the Motorized Immediate Action Unit, who were on patrol in Ayia Napa, saw two people running from the beach to the hotel car park.

MMAD members chased the two suspects, who were seen throwing various objects on the ground. Eventually, it became possible to immobilize one of the two persons, who as it turned out was a 29-year-old resident of Nicosia.

Following searches in the area, three mobile phones were found, an electronic tablet, a pair of sunglasses, the sum of € 200 and a wallet, which contained the sum of € 80. The above are said to be the objects thrown by the perpetrators, during their pursuit, by the police.

These items were later identified by three persons, who were in the area, as their own items, which had been stolen.

The 29-year-old was arrested for the self-inflicted crime of illegal possession of property and was taken into custody, to facilitate the investigations.
