A British couple living permanently in Cyprus was found dead this morning in their apartment, in the area of Kappari in Paralimni.
According to the Police, the couple, aged 59 and 56, last night put into operation a device, which looks like a fireplace and runs on LPG, to keep warm.
However, it appears that the appliance was defective and caused a gas leak.
At first glance, according to the Police, the death of the couple seems to have been caused by the gas leak.
In the morning, the couple was searched by relatives and when they did not show signs of life, the Police were notified, members of which entered the apartment where they found the two unfortunate Britons dead.
