The festive season begins tonight in the Municipality of Sotiras with the Lighting event of the City Hall and the Christmas Tree. The event starts at 5 pm in the courtyard and on the street outside the City Hall, where kiosks will be set up and various events will be held. The kiosks will include charity bazaars, donuts, cotton candy, popcorn, face painting, coffee, wine, various delicacies, inflatables, while Winnie the Pooh will be on site to entertain young children.
The lighting will take place at 6 o'clock and then will follow an artistic program with the Philharmonic Band HARMONY of the Municipality of Paralimni, the Municipal Choir Sotira, the children's Municipal Choir Sotira and the Youth Choir of the All-Day School Sotira. Santa Claus will also come to the event to distribute gifts to the children.
The event is attended by the Municipal Volunteer Group Sotira, Onisilos Sotiras, the Catechism Meetings Sotiras, NE.DYSY Sotiras, the High School of Peace and Freedom and the Parents 'Associations A', B 'and C' Primary School Sotira.
The decoration of the City Hall was done with the voluntary supervision of the artist Fanis Sergios and the cooperation of the working staff of the Municipality.
