A written statement states that "the election of the Deputy Mayor was held by secret ballot during the first session of the new Municipal Council on Wednesday, January 11."
During the meeting, the Mayor of Deryneia Andros Karagiannis "congratulated the members of the Municipal Council who were re-elected or re-elected in the recent Municipal Elections" and noted that "together with the members of the Municipal Council and the staff of the Municipality we will continue to work collectively for further progress and development of the Municipality and the immediate service of the citizen ".
It is added that "during the session of the Municipal Council, which was attended by several citizens, Municipal Committees were established. There was no vote for the presidencies of the Committees, since there was unanimity, while each member of the Municipal Council took over the Presidency of a Committee ".
