In Paralimni, a 79-year-old British national was charred when the car he was driving caught fire.

According to the Police, half an hour after midnight today, a rental vehicle was driven by an unknown person, until now, on Korai Street in Paralimni, despite the Police Directorate.

At one point, the driver of the car lost control, as a result of which he hit a wall of a house and ignited, as a result of which the driver was charred.

Firefighters rushed to the scene and managed to put out the fire in the car.

Men of TAE Famagusta went to the scene and managed to remove the body from the car and transport it to Larnaca General Hospital where the legal autopsy is expected to be performed. Also, all the necessary examinations will be done in order to identify and identify the body.

According to the first information of the Police, the vehicle had been rented to a 79-year-old man with British citizenship who lived in Paralimni.

The case is being investigated by the Famagusta Police Department.
