Paphos: At the initiative of the Minister of Transport, Marios Dimitriadis, the execution of the Athens-Paphos-Athens route by Cobalt has been locked, after a relevant meeting between Paphos stakeholders and the company, in the presence of the Minister and officials.

As announced yesterday by the Company for Tourism Development and Promotion of Paphos Region, Cobalt has included Paphos in its new flight plans for 2017 with the route Athens-Paphos-Athens with three flights a week and an expected flight start period in the last week of March.

"The new flight schedule for Paphos, in addition to the economic benefits that will result for the province and Cyprus in general, creates a new perspective," the announcement said. "In the near future, it is expected to contribute to the reduction of unemployment in the mitigation of seasonality, to upgrade the international prestige and the position of Paphos.

At the same time, it is expected that the arrivals of individual visitors will increase as Athens Airport can and does serve visitors from other third countries with benefit in similar sectors of the economy such as services, land development, trade, restaurants and more ".

The meeting that finalized Cobalt's arrival in Paphos was attended by, in addition to the Minister of Transport, the Director General of the Ministry and other officials, while on behalf of Cobalt attended the Chairman of the Board and other airline officials. On behalf of Paphos institutions, the President and the Secretary of PASYXE Paphos and the Director of the Paphos Region Tourism Development and Promotion Company participated in the contacts.
