Russia and the United States are trying to put the file of the inhabitants of the planet under the pretext of obviously fighting terrorism.
The agreements signed by the Republic of Cyprus were invited to be examined by the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs, since in order for an international agreement to be ratified, the National Parliament must also consent.
Explaining the agreements, the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, George Lillikas, stated that in the case of Russia, fingerprints and DNA samples will be given only after a request for a specific suspect from one country to another. This agreement will be taken to the Plenary for approval.
As for the corresponding one in the USA, automatic access to the state files for fingerprints and DNA samples from both countries is foreseen.
Due to the seriousness of the agreement, the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection Irini Nikolaidou requested the postponement of its ratification in order to study all the parameters.

It is noted that fingerprints are also collected through smart phones, either through access to phones or for the use of certain programs.
