An intubated patient is being treated at the Hippocratic Hospital of Thessaloniki, a 36-year-old woman who had been infected with a coronavirus and her premature baby, which the doctors had to take by caesarean section even though she was pregnant for only 22 weeks.

"We are under a lot of pressure," said the representative of the employees of the Hippocratic Hospital of Thessaloniki, George Dontsios, speaking to GRTimes and stressed that yesterday, Sunday, January 2, 205 cases of coronavirus arrived at the hospital and until today at 8:00 am (when the vigil ended 45 admissions were made, while another 25 cases were considered suspicious.

At the same time, there was an increase in diagnostic tests during the holidays, while eight children are being treated at the Hospital, two of whom were admitted yesterday, fortunately preventively and with mild symptoms. Finally, according to Mr. Dontsios, out of the 28 ICU beds available at the hospital, 26 are occupied, however they may be filled today before noon.
