joker Joker, Athens, Police intervention

Salos was caused in Greece after the two incidents in cinemas in Athens where police removed minors who were watching the movie "Joker".

According to the Greek Police, the police officers carried out the specific act after complaints they had from employees of the competent service of the Ministry of Culture. This was confirmed today by the Greek Minister of Culture, Lina Mendoni, noting, however, that there was no relevant order from the Ministry to its officials. Ms. Mendoni added that an investigation will be carried out into the incident as the employees of the ministry exceeded their responsibilities, while the provisions provided by the Civil Service Code will also be initiated.

The president of SYRIZA, Alexis Tsipras, also took a stand on the incident, posting on his personal Facebook account, stating, among other things: night at the AELLO cinema, Mr. Chrysochoidis. We do not play… ”.

It is noted, however, that this film does not have the same labeling everywhere as in some rooms it is shown as unsuitable for under 18 and in others as unsuitable for under 16.
