The perpetrator is wanted

A horrific incident took place on Thursday afternoon in St. Petersburg, Greece, when a man with masked features killed a dog with an arrow.

According to Mega Hellas, the man approached a dominant dog, a pit bull, which was in the yard of his guardian's house and with a crossbow fired an arrow at him, resulting in the animal being fatally injured.

The 2,5-year-old pit bull was immediately taken to the Attica Animal Hospital. There he underwent long surgery as he was seriously injured just 2 millimeters to the right of his heart.

According to the report, the veterinarians made superhuman efforts in order to keep it alive, but unfortunately it ended in the early hours of the morning.

The perpetrator escaped

The perpetrator after an act ran to escape, with information saying that he was chased by an eyewitness, but managed to escape to the mountain. The incident has been undertaken by the St. Petersburg Police Department and in fact the owner of the dog has also given a statement.

It is noted that the torture and killing of an animal are prosecuted as a crime with a fine of 30.000 euros and imprisonment without suspension for up to 10 years.
