The last farewell to Thanos Mikroutsikos will be said today, Monday, December 30, at 14.30 pm in the First Cemetery of Athens by relatives, friends and many people.
The funeral of the great composer, who passed away on Saturday (28.12.2019) at the age of 72, after an unequal battle with cancer, will be held at public expense.
Relevant Joint Ministerial Decision was signed by Interior Minister Panagiotis Theodorikakos and Finance Minister Christos Staikouras.
According to his family, the body will be exposed from 10:30 a.m. in the ceremony hall for the last farewell. Instead of wreaths, the family requests that the money be allocated for the unaccompanied refugee children of Moria (GR 07017 1355 0006 3551 3856 0788 - Piraeus Bank).
It is recalled that Thanos Mikroutsikos ended up with a cardiopulmonary arrest in a private hospital on Saturday night, where he was hospitalized for the last few weeks, battling the incurable disease.
