An increase in the Easter allowance for low-income pensioners was announced by the President of the Republic, Mr. Nikos Christodoulidis, who is presiding today, at the Presidential Palace, at a meeting of the Council of Ministers.
At the beginning of the meeting, the President of the Republic, addressing the members of the Council of Ministers, said that "today, among the issues we have, it is very important to see where we are with regard to the Recovery and Resilience Plan, We filed the relevant payment request for the the second and third tranches of sponsorship, but I want to see where the rest of the milestones are because there should be no delay in this matter.
The second thing that is important and following the announcements we made about the anti-punctuality measures on March 28, is the decision we will have on the Easter allowance for low-income pensioners. In fact, it will be increased from 190 to 250 euros, something very important for almost 14 thousand low pensioners.
Also, next Monday evening we have a meeting of the Council of Ministers in relation to the actions I announced on 29 January. I want you to be well prepared, so we can see where the implementation stage is. It is very important to see which ones were implemented, at what stage of implementation the rest are, so that where we need to run more.
