A quarrel broke out yesterday at a school in Larnaca, injuring two students and two teachers who were allegedly attacked. One of the students, aged 18, was taken to the Athalassa psychiatric hospital after allegedly attacking another 17-year-old student and two teachers at the Agios Lazaros Technical School in Larnaca.

According to the Police, it was reported yesterday that shortly after one in the afternoon, two students aged 18 and 17 allegedly got into a fight and the second one asked for help from a teacher.

The teacher stepped in to separate the two students, with the result that the 18-year-old attacked him. A second professor, who also intervened to stop the fight, was attacked by the 18-year-old.

The 17-year-old student was taken to the TAEP of the Larnaca General Hospital where, after being examined by the doctors on duty, it was found that he had a mild craniocerebral injury and was detained for precautionary reasons.

One of the teachers was taken to a private hospital in Larnaca and tests showed that he had a broken nose and a broken head and was being held for treatment and follow-up.

The second professor drove his own car to a private hospital in Nicosia, where he was found to have bruises.

According to the Police, the 18-year-old was "in a state of rage" and was also transported to the General Hospital of Larnaca, where, based on a court order, he was examined by a psychiatrist and last night was transferred to the Athalassa Psychiatric Hospital.
