According to the information transmitted by the international media, the perpetrator who has been arrested is a 27-year-old man from Bangladesh, who has lived in the USA for the last 7 years. His name is Akayed Ullah and he lived in Brooklyn.
This is an incident that took place near the busy Times Square. The lines are being evacuated, while strong police forces have rushed to the spot.
White House spokeswoman Sarah Hookbabe Saunders said President Donald Trump had been briefed on the incident.
ABC News cites police sources as saying it may have been a pipe bomb in an underground passage at the terminal.
