In a simple announcement on his personal Twitter account, Hugh Jackman announced that he is positive for the coronavirus and suffers from mild symptoms such as sore throat and runny nose.
Broadway musical "The Music Man", the hottest show in New York, starring Jackman, canceled its performances for five days.
Jackman tested positive after his co-star, Sutton Foster, also fell ill last week and was replaced in the shows. Foster will return on January 2 but Jackman will be out of the theater until January 6.

Dozens of Broadway shows, including "Hamilton," "The Lion King" and "Aladdin," have been canceled over the past 15 days due to coronavirus cases, although the actors, staff and viewers have all been vaccinated.
Jackman himself is fully vaccinated.
Some performances, such as the Rockettes' annual Christmas show at Radio City Music Hall, were canceled altogether, while other musicals were discontinued a few weeks ago.
The official premiere of "Music Man" is scheduled for February 10. Ticket demand is high, although the price at official points of sale is as high as $ 699 and on reseller sites it can be as high as $ 2.000 each.
