At least ten people were killed at a school in Texas when a gunman stormed a school and opened fire, sowing panic and death.
An assailant broke into a classroom at Santa Fe High School and opened fire, according to an eyewitness. The witness told KTRK that he saw a girl who was shot in the leg.
Shortly afterwards, a suspect was taken into custody, according to Cris Richardson, assistant director. He told reporters gathered near the school that he was armed, but "this person has been arrested and is insured."
Police, who responded with 20 patrols, cordoned off the area and are conducting investigations.
