Authorities in New York are on high alert following an explosion at a bus terminal in Manhattan, while one person has been taken into custody.
The suspect, who is believed to be about 20 years old, suffered non-life-threatening injuries during the blast, the NYPD said. No one else was injured. He also reportedly had a second device, which was not fired.
This is an incident that took place near the busy Times Square. The lines are being evacuated, while strong police forces have rushed to the spot.
White House spokeswoman Sarah Hookbabe Saunders said President Donald Trump had been briefed on the incident.
ABC News cites police sources as saying it may have been a pipe bomb in an underground passage at the terminal.
The Port Authority is the largest bus terminal in the United States, serving more than 65 million people annually.
