Ankara will submit to the UN General Assembly a draft resolution calling for the revocation of US President Donald Trump's decision to unilaterally recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said today.

The United States vetoed the draft resolution at a United Nations Security Council meeting. The other 14 SA member states voted in favor of the plan. Egypt had requested the vote. "Now, God willing, we will forward the resolution to the UN General Assembly," the Turkish president said in a joint press conference with Djibouti President Ismail Omar Gele.

"The support of 2/3 in the General Assembly will really mean the revocation of the decision taken by the SA", he noted.
