A strong earthquake of 5,9 degrees shook Mexico

A magnitude 5,9 earthquake shook the Oaxaca region of Mexico.

The quake affected Oaxaca in southwestern Mexico, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS). The epicenter was reported below the 40-kilometer-high plateau near the town of Pinotepa Nacional, which has a population of 26.000.

The quake woke up Mexican city residents, with many people running in panic on the streets.

It is noted that the country is still counting its wounds from the deadly and catastrophic earthquake that occurred in November.
