A stronger, richer and fairer Turkey was promised by Recep Tayyip Erdogan in his speech after his re-election as President of Turkey. He noted, however, that the goal of 300 seats in Parliament was not achieved.

The Turkish President said that the turnout, which reached 90%, taught democracy lessons to the whole world, which must read the results carefully. He said it was time for Turkey to put aside tensions and disagreements and look to the future of the Turkish nation.

For the last 16 years, he added, the Turkish people have been fighting to make Turkey stronger, and this should continue. He promised not to ignore any category of citizens and stressed that there will be a fight against terrorism inside and outside the country.

Referring to the new Presidential system, he said that all this time the necessary preparations are being made and that the new system will allow the Government until 2023 to implement all its pre-election commitments.

Regarding the justice system, he said that he is determined to make it impeccable and to strengthen democracy and the rights of the citizens in his country. He also said he would do anything to prevent those considering a coup.

Indicative is the post of the Turkish President on Twitter: "We continue", he wrote characteristically.
