Iron Dome missile arrays have been installed by the Israeli armed forces within walking distance of the country's border with Syria and located in the Golan Heights. The move is part of the security measures taken by the government of Benjamin Netanyahu, after the joint air raid of the USA, Britain and France, against positions of the Assad regime.

International agencies have published photos from the area where the rockets have been installed, which is an attraction for tourists in the Golan Heights.

Earlier, Israeli Security Council member Joab Galland said the US-led invasion of Syria was a "significant signal" to Iran, Syria and the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah.

"The use of chemical weapons violates a red line and humanity can no longer tolerate it," Galland said in a Twitter post.

"The US attack sends a significant signal to the axis of evil - Iran, Syria and Hezbollah," Galad added.

An Israeli official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Israel had been informed of the strikes in advance. Asked how soon he had been notified, the official replied: "From 12 to 24 hours ago, I believe."

Asked if Israel helped select the targets, the official, who asked not to be named, said: "Not from what I know."

Ofer Selah, a member of parliament and a member of the Israeli parliament's foreign affairs committee, said today that the invasion of Syria "is an important step in itself; it should also be the beginning of a new order".

He called the raid "justified" and added that it should not be the last.

"Israel should tell President Trump to reconsider his intention to leave Syria," Salah said. "If there is no balance in the region, on one side of which are the Western powers, Sunni states and Israel, there will be no salvation for the tormented Syrian people."
